How to Get Broccoli in Stardew Valley
Pierre may sell quite an assortment of seasonal seeds at his General Shop, but if you want to grow broccoli, you’re going to have to put in some extra effort.
Broccoli can’t be purchased. Instead, you’ll have to find it randomly through artifact / worm spots, Mystery Boxes, by destroying breakable crates in mines, or through Mayor Lewis’ Prize Box. And out of all those options, digging up artifact spots is the most reliable option.
Artifact Spots, or worm spots as they’re known in the community, are defined by the wriggling little worms on the tile. These artifact spots appear on tillable soil, so your best options to find these spots are by scouring:
- Your farm
- Calico Desert
- Beaches
- The railroad station
Artifact spots reset every day and are more common when it rains. But more importantly, broccoli seeds can be found in these spots in the last week of spring and throughout the summer. So, it’s a good idea to start searching for these spots once you see that summer is right around the corner.
Once you have broccoli, you can plant it on your farm. Broccoli will grow in eight days and continue to produce vegetables every four days. Each broccoli can be sold for 70 gold, making them an extremely profitable vegetable to have on your farm.
You can also use broccoli on the spool of the sewing machine with cloth if you want to make a dyeable button-down shirt. And, predictably, it makes clothes green! Broccoli can also be gifted to almost every villager who will like it. The only exceptions are Jas, Vincent, Abigail, Haley, and Sam. For some reason, that just feels right
Broccoli isn’t the only vegetable that can only be found by digging around in the dirt. The same is true for carrots.
