In case you haven’t figured it out yet, growing different crops in Lightyear Frontier takes large chunks of your time. However, while it may take some time to get started, once you learn the basics, you’ll be growing different crops in no time. Here’s how to grow crops in Lightyear Frontier.
Key Steps of Growing Crops in Lightyear Frontier
Growing crops in Lightyear Frontier is not just part of the basic fundamentals of the game, but it’s an activity that you engage with pretty early. Once you have found the five basic tools (like the Spike Saw), one of the earliest quests requires you to complete growing a plant.
Step 1: Ensure you have set up your Small Tent.
Step 2: Create a Small Plot. This can be accessed from the Build Menu. Making one requires two resources: Plant Fiber and Wood.
Step 3: You need seeds to plant in the Small Plot.
Step 4: Use the Vacuum Harvester to extract seeds from plants. In the beginning, look out for the bright blue-colored Polybery plants growing along the starting region.
Step 5: Once you have extracted the seeds with the Harvester, plant them in the mound using the Seed Shooter.
Step 6: Once you’ve planted the seed, use the Irrigation Hose to water the seeds. Once done, all you have to do is wait for the plans to grow, and voila! You have created your first batch of plants.
The amount of options in Lightyear Frontier is plenty, but you’ll be limited in the beginning. As you explore more regions and complete different quests, you’ll have access to more seeds to grow.
Once you have started growing plants, you’ll discover various uses for them. While there’s a dedicated quest system, you can enjoy the game by playing it as a sandbox as well.
