Palword allows players to make their own home bases to store their materials and put their Pals to work, but can one be built underwater? This guide will explain whether players can travel under the water to create their own Bioshock utopia in the game.
How to Create an Underwater Base in Palworld
It is possible to make an underwater base in Palworld, though technically being able to have an underwater base is a bug or glitch. The game is currently in early access and the process to create an underwater base requires more maneuvering than simply leveling up or spending Technology points.
Players will need to have access to the Palbox and a mountable Pal like an Eikthyrdeer. Get on your rideable Pal and find a deep body of water. Players should not be able to stand in it, and should be deep enough to be submerged when jumping into it.
Jump into the water and dismount right before you and your Pal come to the surface. If done correctly, you will sink to the bottom while your Pal is floating on the surface above you. You are able to walk around and even summon a Pal down there.
Open the build menu and select the Palbox under the Pal tab. It requires one Paldium Fragment, eight Wood, and three Stone. You will be able to build it if you have not used up your allowed Palboxes.
Other structures can be built within the Palbox circle, same as if you were building your base on land. While it can be done, it is not recommended for two reasons: very little space and doing this is a glitch. Unless done in the ocean, there is not much space to build a fully functional base. Also, this is clearly not an official feature due to seeing through all the geometry of the land, so this will most likely be fixed in the future.
