Playing co-op in EA FC 24 is arguably one of the most fun experiences you can have, irrespective of whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or a veteran. Thanks to features like cross-play matchmaking, you can play easily with and against your friends. The entire process of setting up a match with your buddy is simple, and it takes a few minutes at most.
How to Invite Your Friends to Play Co-op in EA FC 24
The basic difference between normal matchmaking and playing co-op in EA FC 24 comes down to who you’re playing with/against. In a co-op session, you have complete control over your teammate/opposition. You can only participate in co-op sessions with your in-game friends.
Step 1: Press the RT/R2 button to open up the EA Connect tab
Step 2: Go to the Player Search section and type in your friend’s in-game ID.
Step 3: Send the person a friend request and wait for them to accept (alternatively, they can send you a request as well)
Step 4: Go to a game mode that allows you to play co-op (this could be kickoff/seasons/FC Clubs/Ultimate Team).
Step 5: You’ll have to choose your friend (make sure their EA FC 24 client is active or else they can’t receive a match request).
Step 6: Once they accept the match request, you can play co-op in EA FC 24 with your friend.
Do note that there’s full support for cross-play across the current generations. PS5, Xbox Series XlS, and PC players can play with/against each other, while PS4 and Xbox One players can do the same between themselves. There’s no cross-play for Nintendo Switch users. Make sure that you and your friend have cross-play enabled in matchmaking if you’re on different platforms (but same generational devices).
If you play co-op in EA FC 24 within the Ultimate Team mode, you can’t use the authentic squads. These default squads can be chosen in the Kickoff modes, and both clubs and national teams are available for your selection.
