Starfield is one of the most anticipated games on the horizon, and would you believe us if we told you that it can run on your Xbox One console of choice? While only being released for the newest generation of consoles, players who are holding onto their previous systems can also partake in the fun of Starfield, using what can only be described as Space Age technology. How To Stream Starfield On Xbox One With Game Pass
While you may not be able to play the game natively on your Xbox One console, you can jump into the fun by streaming the game directly onto your console with Xbox Game Pass. When Starfield officially releases on September 6, players on the Xbox Series X|S and PC will be able to download and play the game natively on their console of choice, but players on Xbox One can actually use Cloud Streaming to join in on the fun.

When you select Starfield on the menu, you’ll see the option to Stream the game from the Xbox Cloud, which will let you put it directly on the big screen in front of you. While you may need to deal with some small visual artifacts from the Cloud, the ability to jump into this title on older hardware is great, especially if you’re planning on upgrading to a newer console in the future.
There are some limitations, however. If you’re someone who is hoping to jump into Starfield at a full 4K resolution, Cloud Streaming will not be for you. Xbox Cloud Streaming maxes out on Xbox One at 1080P, so it will still look presentable but not the best it can be. You’ll also need a strong internet connection to ensure that the game plays properly and doesn’t experience any dips in performance or extended bits of input lag. It’ll be playable, but not the premier way to play it.
However, the fact that Microsoft is willing to support their prior consoles with this kind of ability is great, and as long as you’ve got the connection to handle it, it’s worth giving it a try.
