How to Pop the Hidden Balloons in Honkai: Star Rail

Pop it once for good luck

Star Rail Hidden Balloon Featured

Popping balloons around Penacony is one of the best things brought to us in the latest Honkai: Star Rail updates, but sometimes you won’t be able to hit a few of these distant air-filled flying rubber things from your current direction. Or can you actually pop them from afar? Here’s how to pop the hidden balloons in Honkai: Star Rail.

How to Find and Pop the Distant Balloons in Honkai: Star Rail

The two areas introduced in the Star Rail 2.1 update, Dewlight Pavilion and Clock Studios Theme Park, have each a hidden in-plain-sight balloon hanging around in the distance. Popping them individually grants you an achievement each, but you cannot reach them normally as they’re just too far away. No devices or puzzles will bring you closer to them, so you gotta improvise with what you have. But first, let’s find them.

Head to the City Sandpit miniature in the Dewlight Pavilion, then use the pinball machine to throw yourself at the isolated area where you found a Trotter. Now approach the next pinball machine and you’ll notice a lone balloon floating around the direction the machine throws you. To pop it, bring a ranged character such as March 7th, Yukong, or Topaz. You might not hit it at once, but you can pop it from this distance with any of them.

The other balloon is located in the Clock Studios Theme Park. Enter the area through the Theme Park Entrance and head to the leftmost exit, leading to the empty circular area. As soon as you step on the ramp, turn your camera to the right and you’ll see the lone red balloon waiting for you to pop it. Similar to before, use any ranged character to put an end to its miserable existence once and for all.

Popping the Dewlight Pavilion ballon gives you the Saga of the Dramhaven Tumult achievement, while the Clock Studios one gets you the Anti-Balloon achievement. Quite fitting to get after going out of your way just to pop these things. As usual, this is another of the many hidden objectives you can find around Penacony, and the number increase with each coming version.
