How to Relearn Old Moves in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Relearning old moves in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is more straightforward than ever. In previous games, you would have to find the move tutor and pay to relearn a move a Pokemon had forgotten. This NPC usually didn’t show up until the end of the game, so you would have to wait quite a while before actually being able to remember certain moves.

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, all you have to do to relearn an old move is open up the Pokemon’s summary page, go to the moves list, and click the Y button to change moves.

You’ll then be given three different options: forget a move, remember old moves, or learn a move from TMs.

Click on the “Remember Old Moves” option to pull up a list of every move the Pokemon has previously learned. Now you can pick and choose which older moves you want to teach to your Pokemon. This can be done at any time you can open the main menu, so feel free to change them as much as you see fit.
