If you don’t work alongside your fellow survivors, no one will make it out alive. Occasionally, you may wind up on the receiving end of a Klown raygun, or perhaps a teammate is, and then it pays to know how to rescue Humans from cocoons in Killer Klowns From Outer Space!
How to Rescue Players From Cocoons in Killer Klowns From Outer Space
There are multiple ways in which you can rescue another player in Killer Klowns From Outer Space. The first, and perhaps the most important, is to help them out during a fight. If you spot a Human going toe-to-toe with a Klown, and should you have a weapon in your inventory, go ahead and give them a fighting chance.
If you come up behind a Klown, you can land a few swings before they maneuver to face you with their raygun or mallet. It’s enough time for the second player to land a few more hits or run away if their health is too low to ultimately win the encounter.
Alternatively, if you spot a player that’s already cocooned in cotton candy, you can free them by walking up to the cocoon and holding ‘E’ on the keyboard to release them. You can do the same if they’ve already been hooked, too. Just walk up to the hook and interact with the cocoon.
But a word of warning: It takes time to free a player, and while doing so, you’re vulnerable!
Tips for Rescuing Players in Killer Klowns From Outer Space
If you want to earn a ton of experience points, help your team survive the Klownpocalypse, and escape scot-free, then here are a few tips to give you the upper hand:
- Don’t be afraid to fight a Klown head-on with another survivor. Between the two of you, especially with melee weapons, you can take down a single Klown with relative ease.
- Whenever possible, crouch-walk to reach a downed player. If you sprint, you’ll appear on the Klown’s HUD as noise indicators, and they’ll track and catch you before you can make a play.
- Furthermore, don’t waste all of your energy rescuing a teammate. You still need to survive. If you drink an Energy Drink or eat a Popsicle, you’ll restore energy in emergencies.
- Consider your class, its strengths, and your playstyle before moving in for a rescue!
Should anything go wrong during a rescue, don’t forget you can always continue helping your teammates by gifting items via the Hand of Fate mechanic!
