When you play a game you enjoy, there are tons of ways to show it. Some people make videos, while others create artwork. However, many of us use a classic, tried and true method of expressing appreciation: taking hundreds of screenshots! I’ve done it, you’ve probably done it, we all do it. How to Take Pictures in Honkai: Star Rail
Even before encountering the Road to Revival adventure mission, you can still access your camera and take fun pictures! Below is a step-by-step guide to taking photos in Honkai: Star Rail:
- Head into your main menu where your character name, Trailblaze level and game options are.
- Click or tap on the camera icon below the settings gear.
- Take a picture by tapping the white camera button or pressing F if you’re on PC.
Alongside taking pictures and rotating your camera, you can also head into your camera settings by tapping the three lines icon in the top corner of your screen. Here, you’ll find options to hide your character, perform idle actions or even change your character’s expression. If you’re here to get creative and have fun with it, that’ll be your go-to.
Once you take your pictures, you can find them by heading into Local Disk (C:) > Program Files > Star Rail > Games > StarRail_Data > ScreenShots. Just be careful; they might be in another spot if you downloaded the game to a different disk drive or moved your game files elsewhere.

Snap a Photo During the Road to Revival Quest
If you’re here to complete the Road to Revival adventure mission, you may have to snap photos of the Astral Express and a broken robot. During this, there’s another way to take pictures that isn’t normally available. You can press R if you’re on PC or tap the camera icon at the bottom of your screen to enter the quest’s photo mode.

While it’s similar to the regular camera menu, you’ll have to focus your view on the two quest markers to progress through the mission. The steps to snap a photo during the Road to Revival quest are as follows:
- Open the camera by pressing R or tapping the icon shown in the picture above.
- Move your camera screen around while it searches for a target to identify the object.
- Hold the screen while it identifies to take your photo and advance in the quest!
Once you take both photos, you can return to Wen Shiqi to complete the quest.
