Growing plants are not the only puzzles in Botany Manor, as the mansion itself has secret rooms and locks that require logic to get through. Here is how to solve the Library code and the Library symbol puzzle in Botany Manor.
How to Solve Library Code in Botany Manor
Players will receive a Gatehouse Delivery after solving the Pixie Tears and Wolfglove plant puzzles. There will be no package, but a note from Elizabeth containing the code to the locked Library on the second floor.
She says that the three-letter code is the three initials of her name. According to the family tree in the front entrance, it would be EAG for Elizabeth Anne Greene.
However, she is married to Arthur Hopgood. Considering she took his last name, the Library code will be EAH for Elizabeth Anne Hopgood.
How to Solve Library Symbol Puzzle in Botany Manor
Once in the Library, there will be five plates on the wall with different symbols. These must be pressed in the correct order for the wall to open up. The symbols correspond to the five books lying around the Library.
Three books are open to pages, while the other two are closed. Pay attention to the titles of the closed books and the beginning italicized words in each of the open books.
The answer to the puzzle is to press the plates according to the times of the day. So, the sequence would look like this:
- Sun – The Rising Sun
- Fish – One Bright Morning
- Hare – At Midday
- Bird – One Evening
- Moon – Wonders of the Night Sky
Once the correct order is chosen, the wall will open up to a small room containing the Study key alongside a few clues for the Nightfall plant. The study is located to the left after entering the once-locked Library, and players can continue on with Chapter 4.
