If your newly-built base is hurting for space then I’ve got the perfect DIY trick for you. Just don’t expect to win any interior design competitions. Here’s how to stack chests in LEGO Fortnite.
Materials Needed to Stack Chests in LEGO Fortnite
Before we get started, here are all the materials you’ll need for this little project:
6 Wooden Planks per Small Chest
1 Wooden Planks per Rustic Floor Tile
This only applies to small chests – the idea is the same for anything bigger, but you’ll need more materials if you’re crafting the bigger storage options.
Chest Stacking in LEGO Fortnite
Chests don’t stack naturally, so we’ll have to get a little creative. All you need is a free wall that’s at least the height of two chests and enough wooden planks to build a single floor tile. Let’s take a look at the steps:
- Place your first chest where you’d like the stack to go
2. Place the floor tile directly above the chest so it aligns with the chest as shown below
3. Place the second chest on the floor tile. This may be tricky to reach, so build yourself a little extra height if you need
And there you have it! Two chests, essentially, in the place of one. This is a common tactic in other survival games like Minecraft where materials are so plentiful you need all the storage space you can get.
This technique can also be used for medium and large chests, you’ll just need to adjust the size of the floor tile stacked above the ground to match the footprint of these larger chests. Also, you aren’t limited to stacking two chests – if your ceilings are high enough you can stack as many as you want!
