How to Start the Single Player Campaign in Splatoon 3?
Like most things in Splatoon 3, you can’t simply select the single-player campaign from the menus, you have to find the entrance in the Splatsville hub town first. Go to the main square – Splatsville main square, marked “Square” on the map you open with the X button. Once there, while facing the big double stairs, on the left side in the corner you will spot a manhole cover, position yourself right above it and press ZL to enter. By entering the sewers you will find yourself in Alterna Crater where the introduction to the single-player story begins.
Return of the Mammalians is a single-player mode in Splatoon 3 where players explore a crater in Alterna while fighting an Octarian army, wearing an upgradeable Hero Suit. The campaign begins with four introductory stages that serve as a kind of tutorial, with a boss battle at the end, after which the real campaign begins with the title screen after which players are transferred to the icy Alterna region, where they will go through many challenging single-player levels split into 6 sites.
