The Fields of Hatred are some of the most dangerous zones in Diablo 4, and if you plan on keeping any of the seeds you collect while you scour the fields, you will need all the tools possible to stop losing in PvP. I have a streamlined guide with the most essential tips so you can start winning your PvP battles in Diablo 4.
How to Win PvP Fights in Diablo 4
To win PvP fights in the Fields of Hatred, you need to make use of Barriers and Crowd Control abilities. PvP players live and die by the way that they manage shields or CC. This also applies to watching how the enemy player uses their abilities as well. It’s all about using defense and looking for a window to attack.
When I run around the Fields of Hatred PvP zones in Diablo 4, I constantly run into players that have massive Barriers or shields to soak up damage. Even when I manage to rip the shield open, I have to hope I don’t get infinitely frozen. Luckily, there are a few ways to deal with crowd control specifically.
Diablo 4 PvP Tips:
- Bait out the enemy’s main CC ability and shield. Attack in full force once they are used.
- Slot CC damage reduction gems (Topaz) to ensure you have enough time to survive a freeze or a knockdown.
- Ensure that you have some Unstoppable stats and Barriers built into your equipment.
- Buy Scrolls in town using your Red Dust for an Unstoppable buff in bad situations.

Much of the PvP experience in Diablo 4 will also come down to knowing how to play your class and simply using your skill to take down opponents. However, you won’t be able to flex any of your skills without enough defense or escape from CC. That’s what makes the tips above so important.
