It’s time to get your game on. Genius Invokation TCG is already available following the 3.3 update arrival for Genshin Impact, and you can immediately pick your starter deck and start challenging every single soul you find around. Every single NPC seems to be suddenly into the game despite it being previously a niche hobby for only a few characters. Classic new content shenanigans.
If you’re looking for how to begin your new journey, The Cat’s Tail bar in Mondstadt is the place for you. The place is the official hub for all card game things, and here’s where you’ll be going to check your current progress as a player. Here’s how you get things started.
How to Unlock Genius Invokation TCG
You need to meet a few requirements before losing yourself in the world of cards. Players must have reached Adventure Rank 32 and have cleared the Archon Quest “Song of Dragon and Freedom”, AKA the last Mondstadt Archon Quest. This is usually done around AR 20, so simply having the required level should be enough. After meeting the requirements, you should have the “Come Try Genius Invokation TCG” Quest.
Teleport to Mondstadt and you should find Sucrose. Talking with her will instantly begin the quest where you’ll learn about the rules of the game. Diona will guide you through the many tutorials teaching you about Character Cards, Skills, and Support Cards. The quest continues by having you battle by yourself two more times before you’re officially a TCG player.
From now on, it’s all up to you if you keep on playing it or not. The game’s completely optional, but its rewards such as Primogems and resources are very tempting, even if the game’s not for you.

Where to Find New Opponents and Cards
Whenever you need anything about the Card Game, head to the Cat’s Tail and talk with this cute little fellow named Prince. He’s your man (or cat) for dealing with the game, and you can get new cards, check your progress, and participate in special challenges all by speaking with him.
The cat café has plenty of opponents for you to start getting a grasp of the game, so you’ll probably be heading here pretty often. It’s also where you can partake in the Weekly Guest Challenges for the Battle Pass missions, so come often.
