How to Use Console Commands in ARK: Survival Ascended

If you’d like to use console commands in ARK: Survival Ascended, accessing the console itself is as simple as pressing the tilde (~) key on your keyboard twice. The first time will open the console itself, and the second tap will fill the screen so that you may focus on inserting commands.

There is an alternative method where you open the main menu using the Esc key and then access the console from there. It’s a failsafe if you have the tilde key bound to any other action.

Tip:

You may wish to resort to a previous command or multiple commands while entering a command into the console. To do so, hit ‘Tab,’ which will bring up the previously-used command. This method is beneficial if you intend to spawn in multiple items and don’t want to retype the item spawn command repeatedly.

It’s important to note that you may be unable to access console commands while playing on a multiplayer server. They’re often deactivated to prevent players from cheating to gain an advantage over others.

Using Console Commands in ARK: Survival Ascended on Controller

If you play with a controller, there’s also a way to access console commands via specific inputs on the controller. These are:

  • PlayStation 5: R1, L1, Triangle, and Square simultaneously.
  • Xbox: RB, LB, Y, and X simultaneously.

If you’re one of the few enjoying ARK: Survival Ascended without significant performance issues, chances are you want to know about crossplay capabilities in the game, right? We’ve got you covered!
