The systems in Armored Core 6 can be confusing and oftentimes poorly explained. Thankfully, we are here to help alleviate some confusion and stress. One of the early OS Chips you can obtain is Weapon Bay, which allows you to equip arm weapons on your shoulders. Here’s how to use Weapon Bay in Armored Core 6.
How to Equip Weapons Using Weapon Bay in AC6
To use Weapon Bay, you need to go to the ‘Assembly’ tab, then go over to the Left Shoulder, and while highlighted, hit the ‘Q’ or ‘E’ key to switch over to the other weapon menu. Be careful you don’t accidentally scroll over to another mech part, as the menu can be a bit finicky.
Once you’re on the battlefield, just hit ‘Q’ or ‘E’ to swap to your shoulder weapons at any time.
You can see the tiny little squares in the red circle above to indicate when you can tab over to the other weapons. you’ll need to be wary of your AC’s overall weight limit as some of the armw weapons can be very heavy.

Mix and match different weapons to see which build works best for you. Obviously, you lose the power of having mounted shoulder rockets or shield generators, but it’s great if you want to diversify your arsenal with more close-range options.
We experimented a lot and found that having dual shotguns as shoulder weapons helps with the close-range fights in Armored Core 6. Having a shield is also a solid option for some of the longer-range engagements.
As always, be sure to experiment and find what works best for you, as many of the bosses will require different strategies and loadouts to take them down.
