Is Apex Legends Mobile Shutting Down – Answered

It’s been almost a year since Apex Legends Mobile first released, but things quickly took a nosedive. On February 1, 2023, Respawn announced that they would be shutting down Apex Legends Mobile permanently, alongside sibling shooter Battlefield Mobile.

In a statement earlier this year, Respawn said, “At Respawn, we aim to provide players with games that are consistently outstanding. Following a strong start, the content pipeline for Apex Legends Mobile has begun to fall short of that bar for quality, quantity, and cadence. It is for this reason, after months of working with our development partner, that we have made the mutual decision to sunset our mobile game.“

Apex Legends Mobile will officially close on at 4 PM PDT on May 1, 2023.

For those who’ve bought virtual currency, you’ll be able to use that currency in the game until that time. There will be no refunds for real money purchases.

While Apex Legends Mobile will be closing down, Apex Legends on consoles and PC will go on untouched. Season 17: Arsenal has been announced, along with a new Legend.

The only possible silver lining in this situation is that Rhapsody might have a chance to come to Apex Legends. Her unique kit would fill a niche that no other legends in Apex Legends have offered. And her design is awesome. To find out more about this Apex Legend Mobile exclusive character, check out are article here: Who is Rhapsody in Apex Legends – Answered.
