Starfield is easily the largest game to come out of the Xbox Game Studios catalog this year, and the biggest piece of news to be announced from Bethesda Game Studios since the release of Fallout 76 back in 2018. It’s even the first new franchise in a few decades for the studio, finally bringing its open-world repertoire to the final frontier. With so much promise, especially following the recent Starfield Direct at the Xbox Games Showcase, you might be wondering if your favorite gaming subscription service will house the game. Here’s whether Starfield is coming to Xbox Game Pass.
Will Starfield Be Available on Xbox Game Pass?
If you hope to play through Starfield through Xbox’s in-house subscription service, then you’re in luck! Like all other Bethesda titles (strangely excluding Doom 2016), Starfield will be available on Xbox Game Pass for both PC and Xbox Series X|S. It won’t be on the last generation Xbox One, though that’s purely due to hardware constraints of the older tech. Provided you’re on newer technology though, you can jump straight in the minute it releases on September 6, 2023.
How Much Does the Game Itself Cost?
If you end up wanting to purchase the game so you don’t need to stay subscribed, or simply want access to a better edition, then you can buy it whenever you’d like. The base edition is worth $70, with the Digital Deluxe Edition costing a staggering $100. With that Digital Deluxe Edition, you’ll get access to the game five days early, the Shattered Space Story Expansion, the Constellation Skin Pack, a digital Artbook, and the Soundtrack. That’s a staggering amount of money to spend on a game, but it might be worth it if you adore Bethesda RPGs.
