With the right moves, Henry can romance certain characters in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. However, courtship in Kingdom Come can be a tricky endeavor, so you’ll need to know what you’re doing if you hope to romance characters like Theresa or Lady Stephanie. There are multiple romance options in Kingdom Come, and successfully romancing someone will usually unlock an achievement or trophy. This guide will cover how to romance Theresa, Lady Stephanie, and others in Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
How to Romance Lady Stephanie
Lady Stephanie is one of the first companions Henry meets in Kingdom Come: Deliverance after the Cuman attack. She’s a loyal friend and a great listener in times of need. Lady Stephanie is even willing to help Henry escape Talmberg with some extra coin in his pocket during the Run! main story quest. Courting Lady Stephanie unlocks the Casanova achievement in Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Before you can begin romancing Lady Stephanie in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you must first complete the main story quest called Awakening. Once you’ve gotten situated in Rattay, you can return to Talmberg to begin pursuing a romantic relationship with Lady Stephanie.
Upon returning to Talmberg, look for Lady Stephanie in the upper quarters above the kitchen. When you reunite with Lady Stephanie, she’ll give you a quest called At Your Service, My Lady, in which you are tasked with obtaining several items for a wedding: a horse, a crown, and wine. The items can be obtained in any order.
- Get the Roan (Horse) – Visit Uzhitz and find the groom. Speak with him and he’ll send you to talk to Vashek, who is a sort of horse whisperer that can help tame the wild stallion you seek. Once the horse has been broken, ride it back to the stables in Talmberg.
- Get the Ornamental Crown – Make your way to Sasau and talk to Master Jerome. He asks you to find a missing stone that belongs in the crown. You can choose to investigate, but the easier option is to suggest using a different stone instead. Return the next evening to retrieve the crown.
- Get Wine – For the wine, return to Rattay and locate a merchant named Konrad Hagen. His last keg of wine has gone to an archery competition. Head to the shooting range to enroll in the archery competition to try to win the wine for yourself. You must score higher than the Trader and Townsman to win. Consider saving the game beforehand to ensure you get the win. If you don’t win, you must try to convince the winner to give you the wine or buy it off of him instead.
Once you’ve obtained all three items for Lady Stephanie, return to her in Talmberg. Give her the crown and wine, then sing to her the song you learned for calming down the roan. If all goes well, Lady Stephanie will give you her father’s shirt.
Make sure to choose the dialogue option “Alright” when Stephanie asks you to try on the shirt. Doing so will complete the romance with Lady Stephanie and unlock the Casanova achievement/trophy in Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
How to Romance Theresa
To begin your courtship with Theresa, you must first start the Keeping the Peace story quest in Rattay. Talk to the guard named Nightingale to begin the Courtship side quest to romance Theresa. If you couldn’t save Theresa during the Run! quest, don’t worry. Henry’s failure won’t prevent you from courting Theresa in Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Romancing Theresa involves taking her on a series of dates to earn her affection. After speaking to Nightingale, go back to Theresa and speak to her before noon. Give her some jewelry and inquire about how she’s been doing.
For the first date, invite Theresa to go for a walk. If you chose to walk along the river, be prepared to keep up with Theresa when she runs off. During the next dialogue scene, compliment Theresa by saying, “How do you manage to look so good?”
The second date involves taking Theresa to the Broken Wheel Tavern for a night of dancing. When a drunkard interrupts your date, be sure to knock him out. After the two of you have your fist kiss, wait a few days before asking Theresa out again.
When it’s time for the third and final date, agree to play Blind Man’s Bluff with Theresa at the barn and let her win. When it begins to rain, go out and gather the laundry. Afterward, simply head back to the barn to complete your romance with Theresa and earn the McLovin achievement/trophy.
While romance may be enticing, Kingdom Come: Deliverance also rewards players who choose to stay celibate. Remain a virgin throughout the game to unlock the Virgin trophy in Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
