Overwatch 2 will finally allow players to merge their accounts on different systems to have all their cosmetics in one place. This means if you’ve been a long-time console player but switched to PC, you’ll still be able to have access to all of your skins, voice lines, and more. Here is how to merge accounts for cross-progression in Overwatch 2.
Overwatch 2: How to Merge Accounts for Cross-Progression
You’ll need to take a few steps to link your accounts to your Battle.Net. The official Overwatch website walks players through how to do this. Here are the steps required to merge your accounts:
- Login into your Overwatch account on your console
- Scan the QR code on your mobile phone
- Enter the code displayed to connect to your Battle.Net account
- Confirm the account on the next login to merge accounts
Please note that you can only merge once. So make sure to accounts you are connecting are your main consoles. You can link multiple different consoles like an Xbox and PlayStation, but you can not merge two of the same.
“Once you merge a console account with a battle.net account, you will be unable to link to a different console account on the same platform. Double-check to make sure you are linking the correct account to your battle.net account.”
