Overwatch 2, Activision-Blizzard’s highly-anticipated hero shooter sequel, shakes things up a bit with its new monetization model. With its move to the free-to-play gaming space, Overwatch 2 drops the loot boxes of the past in lieu of seasonal Battle Passes and in-game item shops so that players can more deterministically obtain the cosmetics they want. What You’ll Get in the Premium Battle Pass in Overwatch 2
The Premium Battle Pass in Overwatch 2 has 80 tiers of exclusive rewards to obtain and, once the season ends, you’ll be out of luck if you didn’t grab them. It’s available to purchase for 1,000 Overwatch 2 coins, and here’s what you can expect to earn from it:
New Hero (Kiriko)
Immediately upon purchasing the Premium Battle Pass, you’ll receive the newest support hero in Overwatch 2 – Kiriko. Without the premium purchase, you’ll have to grind to tier 55 before she’s unlocked. In addition, you’ll get a Legendary skin for D.Va, an Epic weapon charm, and a +20% XP boost for the entire season.
Weapon Charms
Put a little bling on your favorite weapons with the new Weapon Charms, many of which are only available as Premium Battle Pass rewards.
Souvenirs
Souvenirs are new collectibles in Overwatch 2, and you’ll be able to earn many of them through the Premium Battle Pass, like this Pineapple Pizza one for those that enjoy terrible food.
Highlight Intros
Arguably the best part of Overwatch is flexing on the lobby at the end of a match with a play of the game. Could you imagine missing out on exclusive Highlight Intros to make yourself look even cooler than ever?
Legendary Skins
Overwatch 2 has a lot of skins, but not all of them earn Legendary status. Several tiers of the Premium Battle Pass reward you with exclusive Legendary skins for certain characters.
Mythic Skins
You don’t wanna miss this one. Mythic Skins are the newest tier of cosmetics introduced in Overwatch 2’s Premium Battle Pass, and allow you to customize them in various ways, from swapping weapon and pattern designs to changing overall color schemes. Genji’s Cyber Demon Mythic Skin is available as the final reward of the Premium Battle Pass.
