Season Two of Overwatch 2 has begun, and there’s a new Omnic in town by the name of Ramattra. The new Tank hero may look unassuming at first, equipped with a shepherd’s cane and looking like a robot out of the Biblical times, but that isn’t even his final form. Able to switch into Nemesis Form at will, Ramattra can choose to poke enemies and shield allies from afar, or deliver rage and retribution right to his enemies’ doorstep. Naturally, some fine-tuning and careful observations need to be made before a new hero can be thrown into the competitive roster, and Ramattra is no exception. So, when can we expect to see Ramattra in Overwatch 2’s competitive mode? We’ve got your answer below.

When is Ramattra Coming to Competitive Mode in Overwatch 2?
Before a new hero is added to competitive mode, they’ll need a couple weeks of organic testing and, if needed, balance changes through casual play. This gives players plenty of time to become familiar with Ramattra, his playstyle, and how he affects the overall meta, while also offering them enough time to earn him for free through the battle pass. As the case with all newly added heroes in Overwatch 2, earning them via free-to-play methods involves grinding through more than half of the season’s battle pass, which isn’t a quick process.
If we look at Kiriko’s release schedule in Season One, we’ll see that she joined the competitive roster approximately two weeks after her Overwatch 2 debut. Thus, we can expect Ramattra to be added to competitive mode around December 20, 2022. If you’ve already got your hands on the new tank, now’s your chance to chisel out your game plan.
