PlayStation has just revealed new games for Plus Essential for September 2023. Last month’s lineup was not that stellar – if you weren’t into golf or creating your glitchy video games on PS4. The offering for September is well… a little better. Following the announcement of the PlayStation Plus subscription price increase, we were honestly expecting slightly stronger titles for this month, but still, there are a few games that you can engage with at least out of curiosity, especially if you overlooked them when they were originally released.
Free Games Included in PlayStation Plus Essential (September 2023)
All PlayStation Plus Essential service subscribers will be able to claim the following three games free of charge during the month of September (starting from Friday, September 1) and get to play them for as long as their minimum Plus subscription is active.
- Saints Row (PS5, PS4)
- Black Desert: Traveler Edition (PS4)
- Generation Zero (PS4)
Saints Row
The all-new Saints Row was released in August 2022, and it’s already on Plus. That alone can tell you enough about the game’s success – but at least you can try it now (almost) for free. To be honest, this reboot didn’t turn out that bad just the fans of the old series didn’t accept it very well. That shouldn’t stop you from trying and enjoying this wacky GTA-like game about the brand-new Saints because it’s not like anything similar is coming out anytime soon.
Black Desert: Traveler Edition
Black Desert is a long-running MMO that has been active since 2014. The Traveler Edition for PS4, released in May 2023, brings access to the full game, as well as the bonuses that come with the Traveler Edition Pack:
- Value Pack (15 Days) x1
- Pearl Box – 1000 x1
- Polar Bear x1
- Horse Emblem – Tier 7 White Horse (Female) x1
- Trainer’s Flute (30 Days) x1
If you haven’t tried Black Desert yet, now it’s the right time to finally give it a shot.
Generation Zero
Set in the alternate history of 1980s Sweden, Generation Zero presents us with a story of resistance against hostile machines that have taken over the world. Half of the population has disappeared, and the team of survivors starts a fight to prevail and find out what happened in this open-world action adventure from 2019.
And that would be it for September 2023; what do you think of this list? Will you be playing any of these titles?
