The Indigo Disk expansion has added a decent amount of Pokémon to the Pokédex. Some are Paradox Pokémon, and if you own a copy of Pokémon Violet and are interested in a certain blue quadruped one, here’s how to get Iron Crown in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
How to Get Iron Crown in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Indigo Disk DLC
To find Iron Crown, you’ll have to travel to the top of Area Zero.
Iron Crown is a Steel/Psychic-type Pokémon, and it is related to Gen 5’s Cobalion. You can only get it after you’ve completed Perrin’s quest, who you’ll meet at the very beginning of the story. She will ask to register at least 200 Pokémon in the Blueberry Academy Pokédex.
It might take you some time to achieve this, but it’s all part of the adventure. After this is done, you will be able to see two pictures: one of them reveals Iron Crown’s location.
Finding it is not hard at all, you can easily determine that Iron Crown’s whereabouts are at the top of Area Zero, which you enter at the base as usual. To the left, you’ll find a hole in the ground with some fencing around. If you jump through that hole, you should land right where Iron Crown is.
When you encounter it, you can go into battle just like with any other Legendary Pokémon. Remember to take plenty of the best Pokéballs you have, and any Pokémon that can inflict any status condition (sleep, paralysis, freeze) would be nice, too. Maybe avoid burn and poison conditions, because they can make it faint. Considering Iron Crown’s typing, you might also want to avoid Ground, Ghost, Fire, and Dark-type attacks, because they’ll be super effective and it might accidentally faint.
Beware of Iron Crown’s special move: Tachyon Cutter. It’s a Steel-type physical attack that hits twice and never misses. Amazing to have once you finally catch it, but a bit of a problem when you’re against it.
Iron Crown is just one of the many new Pokémon you can find in this second part of the DLC. It is a Violet exclusive, though, so if you’re playing Pokémon Scarlet, you’ll have to trade it.
