While the Teal Mask offered up a variety of new characters, none stole the show quite like Carmine and Kieran. With their return to Blueberry Academy, players will find themselves facing off a new version of Kieran, so they may be wondering if they should open old wounds.

Should You Use Ogerpon Against Kieran in Battle in Pokemon: Indigo Disk?

While Carmine and Kieran may have returned, something snapped within our young friend after Ogerpon decided to leave with the Player Character at the end of the Teal Mask. While he used to be timid and kind, he is now ruthless and mean, ready to stomp anyone who gets in his way of becoming the strongest trainer at Blueberry Academy. While it may not sound like the nicest thing to do, you could always bring along his favorite Pokemon when it’s time to battle, as you’ll receive a little Easter Egg if you do just that.

If you decide to go into battle as you normally would, you’ll be treated to a slightly maniacal monologue from our friend Kieran that lays out his greatest plans to date. However, if you bring Ogerpon to the battle, Kieran will comment that you’re opening old wounds and ask if you’re essentially trying to intimidate him. It also helps that Ogerpon is a viable Pokemon to bring to this battle, so make sure that you’ve got it to its full potential if you’re planning on showcasing this monster.
