Season 1 of Diablo 4, Season of the Malignant, is finally in full swing! Various demons across the world of Sanctuary have been infected with some sort of malignant growth, and it’s up to both you and Cormund to put a stop to it. If you’re jumping in, you may want to snag the battle pass so you can pick up all of the cool new cosmetics that have been added. With that said, you may also be eyeing the Accelerated Battle Pass alongside the base version of the pass. Here’s whether you should pick up the Accelerated Battle Pass in Diablo 4 Season 1.
Is the Accelerated Battle Pass Worth it in Diablo 4 Season 1?
The Accelerated Battle Pass is similar to battle passes from other games, in that it gives you a more expensive but easy way to kick off the current season of the game. In the case of Diablo 4, you’ll get the first 20 tiers of the pass straight away, along with the On the Warpath emote. This is for 1800 more Platinum, or nearly three times the price of the regular pass.

Your choice of whether you should pick this up is going to depend on how much Diablo you plan to play. If you’re going to be playing it almost religiously, then getting those tier skips won’t matter in the long run. If you’re playing the game on the side and plan to in the coming months, then the extra tier skips may help reduce the stress of rushing to get to the finish line. The extra emote is merely the cherry on top.
The premium battle pass for Diablo 4 will be available for the next several months before Season 2 begins in the middle of October. If you’re curious as to what you can get from the pass, check out our guide on all Seasonal Journey rewards for Diablo 4 Season 1.
