Missed Beyond Measure is the quest in Starfield that serves as an aftermath of the attack on The Lodge (or The Eye, depending on your choice), where there is a memorial service for the Constellation member who got killed during the Hunter’s attack. Noel informs you that there will be a memorial service in four days, and you have the option to attend the memorial service in The Lodge or to miss it. Should you attend or miss the memorial service, and how do the Constellation members react to your choice? Find out below.
Is it Better to Attend or Skip the Memorial Service in The Lodge During Missed Beyond Measure in Starfield?
There are definitely a lot of difficult choices in Starfield. Still, after being forced to choose between saving the life of only one of two of my favorite early-game Companions, no choice will be harder, so I guess this one is fairly easy. See below the benefits and consequences of each choice.
What Happens if You Attend the Memorial Service in Missed Beyond Measure in Starfield
If you decide to attend the memorial service, you will have the opportunity to talk to all Constellation members in the room and boost their affection level (an easy opportunity to improve your standing with all of the romance prospects). You can hold a short speech for the late Constellation member (every player will lose a different member based on their choices in their playthrough). In my playthrough, I lost Barrett. It was either Sam Coe or Barrett, and when Sam asked me why I chose him, I said that I didn’t want to make his daughter an orphan (which was the exact sentiment that pushed me into this choice). Sorry, Barrett.
What Happens if You Miss the Memorial Service in Missed Beyond Measure in Starfield
If you decide to miss (skip) the memorial service… nobody will blame you. They understand that you want to mourn in private. The optimal choice is to attend the service and reap the benefits that come with it.
Starfield players are already going absolutely wild with mods, and I hope that someday we’ll have a mod where we do not need to lose any Constellation members in the Hunter’s attack.
