To rotate an item in The Sims 4 on PC and Mac, simply follow the instructions in the list below:

  1. In the Build Mode menu, select an item by left-clicking on it and use the comma and period keys to rotate it.
  2. Select an item by left-clicking on it and right-click on your mouse to rotate it 45 degrees clockwise.

As you can see, there are different methods for rotating an item depending on what you want to do with it. The first method is ideal if you want to rotate a piece of furniture counterclockwise or clockwise. However, if you want to rotate an item clockwise, the second method will get the job done. Lastly, if you’re going to rotate a lot of items, then you’re going to want to use the third option, as you’ll be able to get a bird’s eye view of the whole room and easily switch between objects.

Rotating items in The Sims 4 on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 requires hopping into Build and Buy mode, selecting an object and pressing R1/RB and L1/LB. You’ll find that you’re easily able to move your items in any direction that you’d like!

Alternatively, you can rotate items freely on PlayStation and Xbox by holding down R1/RB and L1/LB and using the right analog stick to spin the object around.
