Like the rest of us, slimes in Slime Rancher 2 need food to eat. While some slimes are carnivores that feast on poor, helpless chickens, others consume fruits and vegetables. You’ll have to feed your slimes regularly to keep them happy and healthy. In return, they’ll provide plorts for you to sell. As you get more slimes and corrals up and running, leaving your Conservatory and gathering food will become increasingly difficult. Ensuring you have plenty of upgraded gardens to grow your slimes’ favorite foods will help you keep them all happy while getting plorts along the way. With more plorts comes more Newbucks, allowing you to get extra equipment upgrades.
While the only limit for how many gardens you have is available empty plot spaces, it’s important to have at least one garden for every 2-3 corrals you actively use. By organizing your Conservatory this way, you’ll have plenty of food for your slimes and several opportunities to grow some favorite foods.
