The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Description
The game’s description explains “Play as Gollum on his quest to retrieve his Precious. You will need to climb the mountains of Mordor, sneak around Mirkwood and make difficult choices. Who will gain the upper hand: the cunning Gollum or the innocent Smeagol?”
While it remains unclear if players will encounter any of the other notable characters of Middle-earth on Smeagol/Gollum’s journey to retrieve the One Ring, the idea of exploring notable locations, as well as the ability to make impactful choices is highly intriguing, and will surely excite fans of both J.R.R. Tolkien’s seminal novels and Peter Jackson’s acclaimed films.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is the first multiplatform release in the franchise since 2018’s The Lord of the Rings: Adventure Card Game and Middle-earth Shadow of War, which arrived back in 2017.
