You must be quite curious.

Similarly to Fatshark’s previous titles, Fatshark has ensured there are plenty of ways to change up your build to suit your needs. There’s a handful of melee weapons in each class that are well suited to particular playstyles, and a wide range of feats so you can tailor your passives to suit whatever style you wish. Another great returning feature is the addition of “Curios” as they call them, though what they are can be a little confusing. Here’s what Curios are in Warhammer 40K: Darktide.

What Do Curios Do in Darktide?

You may have noticed Curios as you were checking your character’s equipment, with a slot to put one in opening up every eight trust levels until level 24. Each of these slots is very valuable, as Curios take on the form of Trinkets, Necklaces, and Charms like in Vermintide. Curios provide passive bonuses that can be used to help you survive in a run, and can be purchased from the Armory. As a few examples from what we’ve seen, Curios can offer up additional Wounds, which gives you more downs, Max Stamina, and Max Health. Alongside these big bonuses, higher-level Curios will give additional bonuses such as additional Dockets (coins).

Given just how powerful Curios can be, you should pick a set of Curios that suit your current build and playstyle. As one example of a likely poor decision, going purely survivability Curios on a character like a Veteran who’s going to play backline wouldn’t be the best choice. That’s not to say it’d be terrible since survivability is nice no matter what way you twist it, but compared to some of the other perks, it would make less sense. The same goes for non-survivability on a frontline Ogryn build, which should be pretty obvious. It might take you a while to make, but going into battle with the correct build can make all the difference.
