SPOILERS AHOY! Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduced a new type of Pokemon – the Paradox kind. This type of Pokemon only appears later in the game, and most of them are extremely strong, but there is a way to make them even more powerful, by using the Booster Energy item – which you won’t find easily. So let’s find out what exactly Booster Energy does and where to find it in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
What Does Booster Energy Do in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?
First off, you need to get to the last area in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which will take you over 25 hours on average. In order to access Area Zero (Greater Crater of Paldea), you must first complete the three main storylines: Victory Road, Starfall Street, and Path of Legends. Also, for you to have a chance against the Pokemon here, you should be around level 65 at least.
Once you gain access to this area, it is possible to pick up a Booster Energy item from the pile of boxes next to some rock debris before the upcoming boss fight. You can get additional Booster Energy by beating other Paradox Pokemon in Area Zero since they can sometimes hold one, though the drop chance is around 5%.

Paradox Pokemon use abilities such as Quark Drive and Protosynthesis that can raise their stats depending on the terrain on which the battle takes place – specifically Sunlit or Electric terrain triggers these boosts. By using Booster Energy, it is possible to instantly cause that effect regardless of the terrain, which can give you a huge advantage, especially in competitive battles. Booster Energy also raises the power of the highest stats such as Special Attack or Special Defense, making it even more useful if you play with Paradox Pokemon.
Now you know everything you need to find and use Booster Energy to power up your Paradox Pokemon – so go and own it!
