Overwatch 2 Season 5 premiers in the middle of June, though naturally, the team at Blizzard has remained fairly tight-lipped as to what we can expect. They’re likely still hard at work polishing up everything that’s planned to be released, so they won’t show things off until they’re good and reason. With that being said, a new roadmap released at the time of writing has given us the first glimpse into the next season of content. Here’s everything we can expect with Overwatch 2 Season 5’s release.

What’s Releasing With Overwatch 2 Season 5?

First and foremost, Season 5 of Overwatch 2 will include a new event similar to the Starwatch event we saw with Season 4. This event is called Questwatch and seems to feature a much more fantasy-based aesthetic. Alongside the new event will be the new Season, titled “Mischief & Magic” signifying an almost Disney-style season. Maybe we’ll see a Rapunzel Mercy or some sort of Cinderella Widowmaker, though those are entirely speculation. Season 5 will also see the return of the Summer Games, though changes to the event are currently unknown.

Outside of events, a new cinematic is set to release that seems to be centered around Sojourn. The image on the official roadmap page (as shown above) features Sojourn’s dog Murphy eyeing up a croissant, so it’d make sense. There will also be a mini-comp season alongside the long-awaited return of the On Fire system. Finally, things will be capped off with a creator workshop mode.

For the most part, Season 5 seems interesting but seems to serve mostly as a setup for the launch of Season 6. It will feature far more content including Story Missions, a new mode, a new support hero, and much more!
