When you first start Persona 3 Reload, you’ll be asked to sign a contract with your name. If you’d like to use the protagonist’s canon name in Persona 3 Reload, here’s everything you need to know.
What is the Persona 3 Reload Protagonist’s Canon Name?
The Persona 3 protagonist has two canon names in the Persona 3 universe: one for the games and movies and one for the manga adaptation. They are as follows:
- Makoto Yuki (Persona 3, Persona 3 FES, Persona 3 Portable, Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight, Persona 3 Reload, all four Persona 3 movies).
- Minato Arisato (Persona 3 manga).
Which Canon Name Should I Use in Persona 3 Reload?
Makoto Yuki is the canon name for Persona 3 Reload’s protagonist, so if you want to go with what’s official to the game, use that. Though technically, Minato Arisato wouldn’t be entirely incorrect, given that it’s also been used previously in the Persona 3 universe.
I personally went with Makoto Yuki as I think it’s a better name and it’s what I went with in Persona 3 FES and Persona 3 Portable, but ultimately, it’s your choice and doesn’t affect the storyline at all. You could even go with something entirely different if you wanted – it’s up to you.
Can I Change the Protagonist’s Name in Persona 3 Reload?
Once you’ve named the Persona 3 Reload protagonist and signed the contract at the start of the game, you cannot change their name. So, make sure you choose wisely before signing on the dotted line because you’ll be stuck with it for your entire playthrough!
You can change the difficulty, though, so if you find Persona 3 Reload to be too easy or too challenging, you can adjust it to fit your needs.
