While Update 2.6 was originally scheduled to come to a close in mid-May after a six-week run, miHoYo’s recent delay means that it will be going on for a little bit longer than planned. So when does Genshin Impact Update 2.7 actually start? Here’s what we know so far.
Genshin Impact Update 2.7 Release Date
At the time of writing, no release date is currently known for the 2.7 Update. Following miHoYo’s postponement announcement on April 28, 2022, no further official details have come to light. This means that, for the foreseeable future, adventurers will still be able to Wish for Kamisato Ayaka and her 5-star Sword, Mistsplitter Reforged.
After the announcement, popular Genshin Impact leaker Lumie claimed that the update was delayed by three weeks, meaning that, if correct, June 1 could be the 2.7 start date. It is also entirely possible that miHoYo could wait until the end of the Spices from the West event, meaning they may be eyeing up June 8 instead. But this is unofficial speculation so take it with a grain of salt.
Genshin Impact Update 2.7 Delay Compensation
As expected, miHoYo is giving players compensation for the inconvenience. Every week that Update 2.7 is delayed, Genshin Impact fans will receive the following starting May 11, provided they’ve reached Adventure Rank 5:
- 400 Primogems
- 1 Fragile Resin
- 7 Hero’s Wit
- 16 Mystic Enhancement Ore
- 120,000 Mora
