For those fortunate enough to attend, Pokemon GO Tours are amazing ways to experience that sense of both in-game and real-world community that Pokemon GO fosters. Even so, the Global events allow others to participate too. Whichever way you play, here is when the Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh Event begins.
Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh Event Start Time
As usual, there will be an in-person event, and a global event included in the Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh Event, and both of these have different run dates.
Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh in Los Angeles
The 2024 Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh will be held in Los Angeles, California beginning on
February 17, 2024, and ending on February 18, 2024. The event spans over a two-day period, and each day will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST.
To participate in Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh, eager trainers will need to purchase a Live Event Ticket for $30 USD.
Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh Global
The Global part of the Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh event that everyone can participate in will begin on February 24, 2024, and end on February 25, 2024. Like the Los Angeles event, the Global event also spans over a two-day period. However, the starting and ending times are altered slightly as it begins at 10:00 AM and ends at 6:00 PM local time each day.
Unlike the in-person event, the Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh Global event will be a free event.
Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh Event Features
There are many activities planned for the Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh event, but there are two reasons in particular that will make this tour worth your time.
Adventure Effects
Firstly, the release of Dialga and Palkia Origin Formes. Not only will trainers have the opportunity to use these new and exciting forms, but alongside them is a new in-game feature called Adventure Effects. Dialga and Palkia will be able to use their special attacks to distort the in-game world. Depending on which you use, you will be able to pause the countdown timer on some items or increase the catch radius.
Clearly, this is only the beginning of Adventure Effects, and it is an interesting concept. Allowing the Pokemon in your possession to enhance your in-game experience could be game-changing if implemented properly. Can Flame Body be next?
Shiny Sinnoh Pokemon
Just like the previous events which celebrated a particular region, Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh is a way in which to celebrate all of the amazing Pokemon that make up Generation IV. However, with the previous three events, there were still enough Pokemon in each generation to debut as a new shiny to make the event exciting. Sinnoh has less to choose from, but they still exist. Let me catch the variant Rotom forms as a shiny, and I will be happy!
Arceus
While not yet announced, if previous events are to go by, Arceus will have to make an appearance during the Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh event. One of the few Sinnoh Pokemon not yet released, it will be interesting to see how Niantic handles Arceus at a mechanical level. The Pokemon that are left behind by Niantic are always Pokemon that have something non-traditional about them, such as Smeargle and Kecleon. So, with Arceus being able to transform into every different Pokemon type, it will remain to be seen as to how it is handled in game.
The year 2024 just started, and already Pokemon GO is starting off with a bang. January has been full of amazing events, and we are not even halfway through the month yet. Such as Porygon’s upcoming Community Day.
