The August Pokemon Presents showcase has revealed a ton of interesting info for Pokemon fans of all different media. But Pokemon Scarlet and Violet took the biggest share, of course. We got some new glimpses of the new upcoming DLC, with various new Pokemon in sight (such as the Paradox versions of Raikou and Cobelion), as well as some other interesting returns.
Mew and Mewtwo are making their comeback into the newest generation of Pokemon games! While Mew is given out for free through a Mystery Gift code, trainers will have to best Mewtwo in a Tera Raid battle before they can become its master, in typical Mewtwo fashion. Here’s the upcoming schedule for the Mewtwo Tera Raids.
Mewtwo Tera Raids Schedule in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Mewtwo will be hitting Paldea later this month from Thursday, August 31, at 5:00 p.m. PDT until Sunday, September 17, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. During any of these days, you can encounter a 7-star Tera Raid Mewtwo that features the Psychic Tera Type and the Mightiest Mark to serve as proof you conquered this special challenge.
Additionally, the announcement specifies that if you bring the gift Mew you got from the codes to the Mewtwo fight, something special might happen. This could be anything from Mewtwo gaining access to a new, normally unobtainable move to having an actual chance of being Shiny! We’ll have to wait and see what Game Freak is hiding in their sleeves this time.

But while Mewtwo will still take its time to arrive, that doesn’t mean we’ll have nothing to do while waiting. Several special 5-star Tera Raids will be appearing in the meantime before the Legendary Kanto Pokemon is preparing for the big combats.
Scizor, Blissey and Hydreigon will appear from August 8 to August 17 and later from August 31 to September 17. Simultaneously, Blissey, Hatterene, and Grimmsnarl will be around from August 17 to August 31 and then also from August 31 to September 17. Take this time to add these powerful members to your team.
Mewtwo will be a tough opponent, so you’ll definitely need a strong team setup, regardless if you’re planning on bringing Mew. Having a good counter for it is a good start.
