When Will Pokemon Go Sizeable Surprises Begin? Event Dates, Bonuses, and More

Pokemon GO Sizeable Surprises is coming very soon according to the developers, and it’s likely going to be the first special event taking place in April. While fans will be focusing on the World of Wonders: Taken Over events at the end of March, they will soon have more things to focus on next month.

Pokemon GO Sizeable Surprises Event Dates

Earlier on March 22, Niantic announced the next event which will be part of World of Wonders. Starting April 4, players will be able to find some interesting Pokemon spawning around them until April 9. The event will begin at 10 AM local time, and end at 8 PM local time.

Pokemon GO Sizeable Surprises Event Bonuses

Like the Taken Over event, Sizeable Surprises will also offer certain bonuses, along with increased spawn rates for certain Pokemon.

  • 2x XP for nice throws or better
  • Increased chances of finding XXL and XXS Pokemon
  • Increased chance to find shiny Wailmer

Pokemon with an asterisk to their name could appear in shiny variants. Wimpod will make its shiny debut in the upcoming event.

There are plenty of special raids coming soon to the game, including Mega Raids.

One-Star Raids

  • Foongus*
  • Klink*
  • Espurr*
  • Tadbulb

Three-Star Raids

  • Alolan Exeggutor*
  • Galarian Weezing*
  • Gyarados
  • Snorlax

Five-Star Raids

  • Celesteela* (Southern Hemisphere)
  • Kartana* (Northern Hemisphere)

Mega Raids

  • Mega Charizard X*

All Pokemon with asterisks beside their name can appear as shiny variants (based on your luck). The event marks the shiny debut for Celesteela and Kartana.

There will be bonus field research tasks and encounters as well. While Sizeable Surprises certainly appear to offer plenty of attractive content, players will need to wait for the time being. However, March 27 marks the beginning of the World of Wonders: Taken Over event, featuring Shadow Mewtwo and Shadow Groudon among other interesting offerings.
