After leaving Lookout Landing, there are nearly limitless paths for Link to follow as he investigates the regional phenomena around Hyrule. One of the easiest major locations to reach after the lookout, though, is the Kakarito Village in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
This Japanese-inspired location is a great pit stop as you make your way to the eastern side of Hyrule and it was the first major town I found on my own path in the main story. With the location discovered on my own map, I can give you some easy coordinates to follow and a map marker so no time is wasted. Here’s how to find Kakariko Village in Tears of the Kingdom.
How to Find Kakariko Village in TOTK
You can find Kakariko Village southeast of Central Hyrule, just below the Lanayru Wetlands near the hills. The coordinates for the village are (1812, 0988, 0112). The location isn’t as far southeast as the coast, but it’s still a decent ride away from Central Hyrule if you decide to go straight there.
To easily reach the village, start by unlocking the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower, and use it to launch Link into the air. These can be used over and over again, so it’s an easy way to reach the hidden village without having to spend tons of time climbing. I don’t always like listening to Link slowly grunt on a cliff edge, so the tower launch is preferred.
If you continue going southeast in Tears of the Kingdom, you will eventually reach the Hateno Village, which has even more turmoil and side quests for Link to take on. However, there is no rush to get there. Kakariko Village is full of characters and shops as well, so this is a great hub before exploring the rest of the southeast. I spent plenty of time here before going further east.

Right next to Kakariko Village is the Ring Ruins, but you won’t be able to access these until all the regional phenomena are completed around Hyrule. However, you can check out our guide on entering the Ring Ruins here. So for the time being, simply speak to some shopkeepers or complete more side quests if you want to see everything that Kakariko has to offer in Tears of the Kingdom.
