Starfield: Where to Buy Copper

Starfield’s general stores are the best sources of resources like ores, manufactured items, and organic items. You’ll find copper in the shop’s resource section, with its price and available stock changing daily.

Below are a few examples of shops you can visit:

  • Jemison Mercantile in Spaceport, Jemison, Alpha Centauri
  • UC Distribution Center in Commercial District, Jemison, Alpha Centauri
  • Shepherd’s General Store in Akila City, Akila, Cheyenne

The Trade Authority also has a chance to sell resources at their storefronts, but their selection is limited.

The average copper price is around eight credits, with approx. 12-16 units available in stock. However, these values change daily, so your numbers may differ when you visit a shop. An easy way to refresh this is to wait 24 in-game hours before rechecking the list. However, doing this may cause copper to rotate out of the store’s supply entirely, so be careful.

Why Can’t I Find Copper?

As I briefly mentioned above, the resources available at shops change daily. One day, you may find copper in the store, with it disappearing the following day. Like before, you can wait on a bench or chair for a full day before reentering the shop and browsing their resources again.

Tip:

To buy large quantities of copper, purchase every available unit before waiting and rechecking the list. If you’re lucky, you’ll find plenty more copper to buy!

If you check one store and don’t see any copper, you can also hop to another planet and visit another shop to see if they have some available. Sometimes, you might have to check multiple vendors before one has the items you need.
