If your mission in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is to become a horticulturist then you’ve come to the right place. We reckon that there’s nothing more satisfying than putting some blooms together, but you’re going to want to start with the basicss. Here’s our guide on where to get red roses in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Where to Get Red Roses in Animal Crossing New Horizons
If you’re curious about how to get some variety when it comes to your garden in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, then you might want to be picking up different sorts of flowers as you’re gallivanting around the earth. You’re probably also going to want to be breeding your own set of different colored flowers i.e. hybrids. If you’re curious about how that process works, we’ve got a separate guide here that you can check out if you’re wanting to engage in some horticulture yourself. So, you’re interested in getting red roses specifically? Well, today is a relatively lucky day for you.
When you start up your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can have one of the following types of flowers as your native flora:
- Cosmos
- Hyacinth
- Lily
- Mum
- Pansy
- Rose
- Tulip
- Windflower
You can often find a real abundance of flowers if you’re climbing up onto the cliffs of your island, so you’re always welcome to scope those out. The primary colors that your native flowers come in are going to be red, white, and yellow. If you don’t have roses as your native flower, though, then you’re not going to just be able to get them organically. However, it’s possible to buy the types of flowers that you’re missing from Nook’s Cranny – this shop run by the Tanuki brothers has a rotating stock of flower seeds, so when roses are on rotation you can hope that they’re red and swing by to pick them up. Alternatively, you can check which one of your friends has a Nook’s Cranny that’s stocking red roses starters, and buy those from them instead to plant in your town.
So now that you know where to get red roses in Animal Crossing New Horizons, you should be able to expand the scope of your garden a little bit and to have the sort of blooms that everyone is going to covet.
