Starfield – How to Sell Survey Data
The best way to sell data in Starfield is to visit Vladimir in The Eye. The Eye is located close to Jemison in the Alpha Centauri system and is a location you’ll find through the main storyline. Once you dock onto The Eye, find Vladimir and tell him you have some survey data. You’ll open a store menu where you can sell the survey data you’ve been collecting throughout your playthrough.

While other shops, such as the Trade Authority, will also buy survey data, Vladimir has the best prices in the game by far. Considering how long it takes to survey most planets, you’re better off making the brief trek to The Eye to get the most credits possible.
How to Survey Planets in Starfield
To survey planets in Starfield, you must scan the following life forms:
- Resources (Ores)
- Flora (Plants)
- Fauna (Animals/Creatures)
- Planet traits
As you explore a planet’s surface, watch for any animals, plants, and ore deposits to scan. You’ll know whether you’ve discovered one before if you open your scanner and observe its color: if it turns blue, it is a new resource. If it is green, you have scanned it before.
Once you get 100% survey completion on a planet, you’ll receive one of the data items to sell to Vladimir for credits.
