Another Week, Another Announcement – So Many Items to Choose From in FUT23!
The FIFA 23 announcements are coming through thick and fast, and it’s been another busy week for EA Sports. In a busy week for the footballing franchise, plenty’s happened to keep your controller glued to your hands.
If you’ve missed all of the FIFA 23 news and announcements, don’t worry, we got you and will keep you in play.
EA’s FIFA 23 News and Major Announcements:
- The Player of the Month for Nov/Dec was announced, and Martin Ødegaard was the winner of the accolade,
- The voting closed for the FIFA 23 Team of the Year voting,
- EA released their FIFA 23 Opta analyst picks based on stats only,
- After that, EA announced the fan-voted final 11 team,
- It was the Italian Super Cup, and Inter Milan beat their neighbouring rivals AC Milan 3-0,
- After a stellar showing, Edin Džeko was awarded the EA Sports Supercup Man of the Match accolade,
- The EA Sports Cup Knockouts started Jan 16 and ended Jan 18,
- There were new winners crowned, and they were TG.NIP team,
- In addition to the TOTY announcement, EA revealed six iconic footballers for their ICON Team 1 TOTY,
- Lastly, why we are here, the Team of the Week for Week 12, was released.
It has been a wonderful week for us FIFA lovers, with many things going on to keep us entertained. The most significant announcement that seems controversial to the FIFA public was the Team of the Year final 11 picks.

It’s now the third TOTW announcement since returning to club action after the World Cup, giving the impression that everything is back to normal as the first month of 2023 is nearly done and dusted.
Where Can These Items be Used in FUT23:
Team of the Week cards cannot be sold on the market. However, TOTW items can be used in players’ Ultimate Team lineups and as Squad Building Options.
So FIFA friends, swap, sell, buy, and choose wisely. There are many options for the pickings.
