It seems today that all we see is violence in movies and Peter Griffin Fortnite trending on TV, but what about those good old-fashioned Chug Jugs on which we used to rely? Yes, Peter Griffin has made it to Fortnite and is looking better than ever.
Why is Peter Griffin Muscular in Fortnite?
If you’ve logged onto Fortnite any time in the past few days, you may have noticed that one of the most requested characters of all time has finally dropped, but he’s looking incredibly swole compared to his normal appearance. There are a few different explanations as to why Peter Griffin has shredded some weight to make his debut in Fortnite.
If we’re going off of the official animation posted by the Fortnite Twitter page, it looks like Peter has employed the help of Meowscles to help him shed some weight quickly, thanks to the expired Chug Jug that he gives to the man himself. Funny fact: Peter was teased initially back in 2021 with files found in the game, so this particular expiration date may be an Easter Egg of sorts.
This skin is also likely a direct reference to the Season 2 episode “He’s Too Sexy For His Fat,” in which Peter receives liposuction after taking Chris in to get some himself. This is the most likely bit of inspiration, seeing as other references to older Family Guy episodes are included with the Peter Griffin skin that you can unlock in the Battle Pass. You’ll also get the chance to unlock the Petercopter Glider, alongside a Bird Is The Word emote.
The most likely explanation, however, would be due to his hitbox. See, Peter Griffin is not the most thin character on the roster, especially in his normal form. This could prove to be a bit of a challenge when facing off against more competitive players, as there would be a lot more to hit if he was his standard size. So, finding a creative way around it, we’ve got the Peter Griffin we see before us today in Fortnite.
While it is hilarious to see Buff Peter Griffin in Fortnite, I’m personally really hoping we get to see an OG skin sometime in the future. Give me the full Family Guy squad, and you know I’ll be pulling up to the function and cranking 90s as Meg. Now that we’ve got him in Fortnite, it seems that we may see more characters from this world make their way in sooner rather than later, so keep your V-Bucks prepared for anything.
