We’ve finally got a trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, and what you can see on it looks wild. We know it will be available on PlayStation and Xbox, but will we be able to experience the frantic, misbehaved ways of living in Vice City on Nintendo Switch?
Will Grand Theft Auto 6 be on Nintendo Switch?
Unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch is not on the immediate list of platforms GTA6 will be on. Rockstar Games announced that the game will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There’s still over a year of waiting, though, as the release date is set to 2025. There can still be little surprises, the world is a crazy place.
It wouldn’t be strange that the game would be released later for Nintendo Switch. That has been the case for some titles like The Witcher, Nier Automata, or Red Dead Redemption, that were released years before they were finally available on Nintendo’s console.
To pass the time and make the wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 to hit Nintendo Switch a little easier – if it does – remember that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is available on the Nintendo eShop. It features Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in one bundle. Vice City and San Andreas are also available individually.
It’s been a decade since Grand Theft Auto 5 released, but it looks like the wait could be worth it. From what can be inferred from the trailer, a ravishing story and the signature party ambience of the franchise team up to make the game look better than ever. It’s still too soon to tell, but it might just be an even greater hit than its predecessor.
Grand Theft Auto 5 never made it to Nintendo Switch, despite its huge success, but times change, and it’s not completely impossible for the long-awaited sequel to eventually arrive on the Switch. At the time of writing, a PC version of GTA6 also hasn’t been confirmed.
