If you want to make every Item Transmuter recipe in FF7 Rebirth, you’ll need to get your hands on many different resources. One of those is Mythril Ore, a rare material – here’s how to get Mythril Ore in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
Where to Find Mythril Ore in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth – Exact Location
The best place to get Mythril Ore in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is in the Mythril Mine, which connects the Grasslands to the Junon region. Note that you’ll only be able to get Mythril Ore from the Mythril Mine in Chapter 3, so if you’re past that and need more, you’ll need to look elsewhere. You can see the exact location of Mythrl Mine in the Grasslands in my map screenshot below:
Note that there are spoilers for Chapter 3 below, so read on at your own risk.
When in Chapter 3, progress through Mythril Mine until you take control of Barret. He is key to mining Mythril Ore due to his gun arm. As you go through the Mine Depths with Barret, you’ll find chunks of Mythril growing out of the mine’s walls; aim at them and hold the Triangle button to shoot them. They’ll break into Mythril Ore, which you can then pick up. I had around 25 of them by the time I’d reached the end of the mine.
Mythril Ore is also found as a rare resource in every region in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. To find it, look for materials on the ground with a gold stone icon, as shown in my screenshot below:
Because of Mythril Ore’s 7-star rarity, you’ll only have the chance to pick it up when the stone icon is gold; you won’t get any from the regular silver icons. It is a scarce material, so don’t expect to find one too often – you’ll likely pick up other resources such as Lea Titanium more often.
How to Use Mythril Ore in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth – Item Transmuter Recipes
So far, I’ve only found one Item Transmuter recipe that uses Mythril Ore in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which is as follows:
- Revival Earrings – Grants Auto-Life at the start of a battle. Breaks after use.
- 2 Mythril Ore.
- 2 Phoenix Down.
