There are a variety of really unique outfits that the party wears in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but none caught my eye quite as much as the outfits worn during Chapter 12, A Golden Key. Can you unlock and wear these outfits later, or are they one and done?
Can You Unlock The Theater Outfits in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?
If you’re hoping to clad Cloud and crew in the most spectacular of garb, you may be disappointed to find out that these options are currently not available as unlockable outfits in FF7 Rebirth. This feels like a missed opportunity because these designs are just too good for a one-and-done moment.
As Cloud and Company parade through an elaborate stage play at Loveless, you may find yourself enamored more with the outfits and pageantry than the general gameplay of the section itself. Don’t worry, you’re not alone — I was in the same boat. No matter if it’s Barret and his Bram Stoker-inspired gear or Cloud looking like a Knight in not-so-shiny armor, all of the costuming here is top-notch.
Does that mean that Square will never add this armor in as an alternate cosmetic? We can never say never, but there has unfortunately been no rumbling of this being added any time in the future. We did see post-launch support for another Final Fantasy title — Final Fantasy 16, to be exact — add in alternate costuming for players to don during their playthrough, and we can only hope that they do the same here with these fantastic pieces of garb.
