Druids are one of those classes that starts off slow and then gains incredibly momentum late game. But to really cement that build, you’ll need the best aspects possible for your weapons and armor. To that end, here’s how to get the Shockwave Aspect in Diablo 4.
Where to Find the Shockwave Aspect in Diablo 4
There are plenty of Aspects in the game, but it seems like all the best ones can only be found through RNG on item drops. And if you’re looking for the Shockwave Aspect, you might have to grind for a long time. That’s because this Aspect will only drop on the following items:
- One-handed weapons
- Two-handed weapons
- Gloves
You’ll then need to extract the Aspect at an Occultist vendor in town. Their icon is a braided knot.
The best method I’ve found to farm it requires you to be post-campaign and at World Tier 3. But this method can be modified to suit any World Tier.
It’s hard to get guaranteed slot drops, so I recommend you purchase Gloves through the Purveyor of Curiosities Vendor and through Helltide Chests. I recommend Gloves over Weapons because they’re cheaper. Now, let’s get into the meat of the method.
If you’re post-campaign and at World Tier 3, stay very aware of Helltide locations. Helltide is a random event that strikes certain parts of the map, turning them scarlet. The enemies within these zones will drop Aberrant Cinders, which you can then cash in on Helltide Chests scattered throughout the effect region. Each chest will offer a different slot of equipment.
If you hover over it on the map, it will say “Protection” or “Weapon” but if you interact with it in person, you’ll be able to see what type of armor piece it will give you. There’s a very good chance for loot from Helltide chests to be Legendary or Unique, so it’s the best place to farm Aspects. It doesn’t matter if you opt for weapons or gloves, as both chests cost the same – 75 Aberrant Cinders.

Additionally, there are constant events during the Helltide. These events will also attract your fellow players, making them easier to farm and get Mastery-level chests from. But either way, you’ll get Murmuring Obols. Each completed event should net you at least 50 Obols, enough for one pull.
If you’re not post-campaign and don’t feel like doing World Tier 3, events remain the best source of guaranteed drops, as you can choose which slot. I recommend you choose Gloves from the Purveyor of Curiosities Vendor as they only cost 40 Obols versus 75 for a weapon.
From there, it all boils down to RNG.
If you want to unlock World Tier 3 but don’t know how, you’ll need to start with the Capstone Dungeon. Check out our guide on how to find it here: Where to Find Capstone Dungeons in Diablo 4.
