To beat Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, you need to earn lots of Skill Points and level up Jacob and Evie Frye to unlock each character’s maneuvers, equipment upgrades and items. This process can take a while, but we’ll tell you how to collect Skill Points and level up while exploring London.
The higher your level, the easier it will be to make it through areas with difficult to kill enemies. It’s especially troublesome if all you wish to do is collect items. The last thing you want while trying to find Pressed Flowers and Beer Bottles is some computer-controlled bozo attempting to put your character in the grave.
How to Level Up in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
Similar to other video games, you need Skill Points to level up. You begin the game at the rather pedestrian level 1, and will need to burn exactly four Skill Points to reach level 2. The highest you can go is level 10, and to go from 9 to the max you must part with 18 Skill Points.
How to Earn Skill Points in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
Each time you earn 1,000 XP you receive one Skill Point. Thus, going from level 9 to level 10 requires a whopping 18,000 XP. Below is a breakdown of the number of Skill Points required to advance to different levels.
Leveling in AC Syndicate: Level 1 to Level 2 (four Skill Points), Level 2 to Level 3 (four Skill Points), Level 3 to Level 4 (eight Skill Points), Level 4 to Level 5 (10 Skill Points), Level 5 to Level 6 (10 Skill Points), Level 6 to Level 7 (10 Skill Points), Level 7 to Level 8 (15 Skill Points), Level 8 to Level 9 (15 Skill Points), Level 9 to Level 10 (18 Skill Points).
If you wish to see how far away you are from the next Skill Point, simply check the bottom left corner of the HUD (heads up display). The Skill Point progress bar is located to the right of your character’s health. The health bar is white and Skill Points are blue.
Fortunately both Jacob and Evie share the same XP and Skill Points. What does this mean? If you earn a Skill Point with Jacob, Evie will receive one as well, even if you did not control her while earning it. Both characters possess his and her own unique Skill Trees, so this system cuts down on the level grind.
Now for the bad news. Despite what some people may tell you, there’s no quick way to amass lots of XP and level up in record time. The developers won’t let you cheese the game. Instead, they force you to invest the necessary amount of time to become an all-around assassin. On the positive side, you can always take part in Bounty Hunts, Child Liberation, Templar Hunts, Gang War and Gang Stronghold quests. You’ll spend hours completing these side activities, but it’s possible to walk into a level five assassination mission at level seven. While nowhere near as dramatic, it’s sort of like leveling up in Destiny, then crushing one of the strikes. Sort of.
Additionally, you want 100 percent completion on all of the memories and activities. You receive XP for beating quests no matter what, but you stand to earn more if you finish the different challenges along the way. Let’s say you attempt a Templar Hunt assassination where the base result upon completion is 350 XP. This is what you’ll probably earn if you easily kill the target with a Throwing Knife. But if one of the special challenges involves slaying this person with an Air Assassination, you’ll receive more XP for the trouble. Do what the game asks and you’ll level up much faster than someone ignoring these requests.
The easiest way to level involves going to the Assassin’s Creed Syndicate virtual store and paying real cash to acquire XP Boosts. These last two or 12 hours depending how much you wish to spend. However, if you love the game as much as we do, you’ll resist this option and play through the game.
