Resident Evil Village has officially launched its DLC, the Winters’ Expansion introducing third-person view mode, the Shadows of Rose campaign, new characters and stages for The Mercenaries Additional Orders, and arguably most importantly, new trophies and achievements. The Winters’ Expansion introduces seven new PlayStation trophies and Xbox achievements. This guide will demonstrate how to 100% The Winters’ Expansion, explaining how to earn each of the PlayStation trophies and Xbox achievements, and will denote the respective trophy ranks and Gamerscore values.
Achievement/Trophy Notes
Difficulty: 4/10
Time to 100%: 4-6 hours
Total Trophies/Achievements: 7
Missable Trophies/Achievements: 3 (Serene Teen, Supreme Teen, Craftsmaster)
Step One: Play The Mercenaries Additional Orders
For the first step of the Winters’ Expansion, you should play the Additional Orders DLC, which introduces two new stages of The Mercenaries through introducing The Bloody Village and The Bloody River. You will need to have earned an “A” Rank in each of the Resident Evil Village base game stages on normal difficulty in order to unlock the Additional Orders DLC maps. For more information, look at the trophy list and descriptions below.
Step Two: Play Shadows of Rose on either Standard or Hardcore Difficulty
The story mode of The Winters’ Expansion is the Shadows of Rose DLC, a short campaign that features three difficulty options and runs approximately two to four hours long depending on if you skip cutscenes or get stuck in a certain section. If you want to get to 100% as quickly as possible, I would suggest starting on Hardcore difficulty. However, if you’d like to just experience the story and get a practice run prior to a Hardcore playthrough, you will be best served playing on Standard. You will receive most of the Winters’ Expansion achievements during this step. Do your best to find as many crafting materials in Castle Dimitrescu as possible and make ample use of the typewriters for backup saves.
Step Three (Optional): Play Shadows of Rose on Hardcore Difficulty
If you didn’t play on Hardcore difficulty during your first run of Shadows of Rose, now is the time to experience Rose’s mind-bending adventure on the most challenging difficulty setting.
Step Four: Cleanup
If you didn’t achieve the Craftsmaster trophy yet, reload a save, or start a new playthrough to craft all of the items in Shadows of Rose. Once you have completed this achievement, you will have 100% of the achievements in The Winters’ Expansion. Congratulations!

Shotgun Ammo – requires Gunpowder (x1) and Rusted Scrap (x1)
